ZIMSEC Speaks Out On Leaked O'Level Exam Papers-iHarare

After a long wait, the Zimbabwe Schools Examination Council (Zimsec) has finally released the 2020 November Ordinary Level results.

Announcing the news today, ZIMSEC advised School heads to collect results from their regional centers this Monday.

ZIMSEC said the results will be accessible online from 10 pm this Monday.

Zimsec board chairperson Professor Eddie Mwenje said the Ordinary Level results show a six percent decrease in pass rate and also recorded a significant decrease in candidature who sat for the 2020 Ordinary level exams, the state media reports.

This comes just a couple of weeks after ZIMSEC released results for November 2020 Advance level examinations.

The release of Advanced Level and Ordinary Level results which are usually out by February was delayed amid strikes over allowances by markers and the raging Covid-19  pandemic.

Meanwhile, due to Covid-19  ZIMSEC recently scrapped the traditional June final exams this year for both Ordinary Level and Advanced Level citing disruptions to the school calendar.
