Zimbabweans React To Munyaradzi Chauraya Child Abuse Saga

Zimbabweans have expressed anger after a video of a man who had his girlfriend’s minor child touch his private parts went viral online.

Some social media users have said the man Munyaradzi Chauraya, 39, should be jailed and never find his way back home.

Some have accused the mother of the child Natalie Taruvinga of being an irresponsible mother after she allegedly failed to report the matter to the police on time.

Comedienne Felistas Murata, who is popularly known as Mai TT, visited Taruvinga’s apartment in the Avenues area of Harare and caused a stir demanding to know why she kept the video on her mobile phone without lodging a police report against Chauraya.

Speaking to H-Metro, Taruvinga alleges that she was threatened with a gun by Chauraya if she disclosed the existence of the video and she also prats that justice should prevail.

“I was physically abused by Munyaradzi and he is the one who sent the video of the minor holding his manh00d to my cellphone,” said Natalie.

“He came to my place of residence to assault me after I decided to dump him following the abuse he subjected me to.

“I kept the video and one of my sisters discovered the video and informed other relatives about it.

This is good that the man has been exposed and should be dealt with accordingly. Actually both. Including the mother of the child. She failed to protect her child and should have been the one to report this man to police. My biggest concern lies with the child. The trauma she will go through, growing up and the fact that this has been made so public does not help in anyway. The loss of self esteem, the stigma etc I hope this child receives all the protection services needed for her physical and mental wellbeing.

I also blame the mother, being single is not a passport to expose our Angles to this , it might be difficult but lets try to protect them.

Wat hurts the hurts the most is that the police get to be bribed and dismiss the issue as if it’s nothing,as if its a mere issue forgetting that they are parents too. An innocent child, poor child being abused and they just let is slide, what kind of law enforcing do we have in this country, this is sad and pathetic, nxaaaaaa ,moyo hairwadze here nhai hama dzangu, mai nyakuzvara wotarisa zvakadai zvichiitika and u choose to go silent ,she doesn’t deserve to be a mother never, what’s becoming of this world ,has corruption taken over in Zimbabwe to a point where child abuse is just brushed off and ignored. Is it because of poverty, we really turning into animals.
