A former youth pastor drove across state lines and had sex with a girl at a summer bible camp in America.
Joshua Henley, 33, who was also a one-time girls basketball coach, travelled back to Tennessee to take the minor to Indiana, where he slept with the teen who had just turned 15.
She later disclosed that the pastor had been engaging her in sexual activity since she was a mere 13-years-old and made her take explicit photos of herself to send to him.
It has been reported that when the pair were at the summer camp in June 2021, another 15-year-old child had raised the alarm to an adult that he had also asked her to send explicit pictures in 2020.
The US Attorney’s Office said Henley was arrested as he travelled back to Tennessee with the girl on June 18.
Cops discovered the photographs of the two girls on his phone and also stumbled across footage of him having sex with another girl just months after she turned 14 in 2020.
Henley confessed to child exploitation and said he produced child sexual abuse material with three minors, reports New York Post.
He also confessed to transporting a minor interstate with the intent to engage in sexual activity with the minor.
The former pastor pleaded guilty to an eight-count indictment on Monday (May 16) and will face at least 15 years behind bars.
He will be sentenced later this year on August 23 at federal court.
The Daily Star recently reported how a pastor subjected his grandchild to a gruelling 12 hour exorcism where she tragically died.
Pastor Rene Huezo and the girl’s mum Claudia Hernandez tried to cast a “demon” out of Arely Naomi Proctor.
The three-year-old was deprived of food on the day of the ritual and was pinned down by her grandad and uncle Rene Aaron Hernandez-Santos, while Claudia squeezed her neck.
The mum uploaded a video on YouTube about her death and said: “Everyone wants to know what happened to her, you know, her cause of death.
“A lot of people turned on me after my daughter passed away; a lot of people thought a lot of things because of how that situation looked.
“If you weren’t there, you don’t know what happened. I know what happened. I could sit here and be negative. But there’s no point in me doing that. I cannot change what is. It is what it is.”
