On Tuesday, American rapper Quavo picked up Bobby Shmurda on a private plane after the latter had been behind bars for six years.
In January of this year, the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision’s inmate lookup noted that Bobby Shmurda has a conditional release date scheduled for today, Feb. 23.
Ahead of Shmurda’s much-celebrated release from prison, Quavo informed fans of his plans to “personally” pick up the ”Hot Nigga’‘ hitmaker.
Speaking with Billboard in an interview released on the eve of Bobby’s conditional release, the Migos member told fans they could expect a “big” welcome home.
I’m going to get my guy,” he said at the time. “I’m personally gonna go pick up Bobby Shmurda. I’m ‘bout to go get him. I’m gonna let him show you how I’m gonna pick him up, yessir. It’s gonna be big.”
The Migos group member has made good on his promise going by videos and photos shared on social media which showed both of them coming down from a private jet.
A photo showed Bobby Shmurda holding a welcome kit aboard the jet with a friend and some ladies.
In a video, Bobby and Quavo could be seen alighting from a plane to an awaiting group of reporters and fans.
