A bus transporting a group of northerners from Gombe state to Lagos was intercepted today in Akure by protesters on their way to their destination.

Following the recent #June12thProtest, which took place today in Lagos state and other parts of the country such as Oyo and Jos, as well as the events that transpired during the protest after Nigerian police reportedly used teargas to disperse protesters, a recent news report from Sahara Reporters has revealed how a group of northerners was arrested by protesters today.

According to the allegation, a bus transporting a group of northerners from Gombe state to Lagos was intercepted today in Akure by protesters on their way to their destination. As a result, Sahara Reporters went so far as to attach a purported video clip depicting these suspects being surrounded by protesters as locally made guns were recovered from them.
