Uk-based Zimbabwean Man Adopts Tinder Swindler M.O, Preys On Lonely Single Women
Zimbabwean very own ‘Tinder Swindler’ has hogged the limelight after he swindled over 14 women of their hard-earned money.
Daniel Muparagwa, currently based in the United Kingdom, was exposed for dating both single and married women and swindling them of their money.
His shenanigans came to light after one of his victims, Vimbai Chimbumu, went live on Facebook following a clash with another woman at his house.
Several women came forward in her Facebook Live recording complaining about Daniel scamming them.
Daniel reportedly approached unsuspecting lonely women via Facebook and Instagram, pretending to be looking for genuine love before requesting financial help. He adopted the same modus operandi that notorious, infamous Tinder Swindler Israeli conman Simon Leviev (born Shimon Hayut) used to swindle women from their hard-earned cash.
The Tinder Swindler presented himself as the son of Russian-Israeli diamond mogul Lev Leviev, the Diamond King. Simon Leviev used Tinder to contact the women, and he would then charm them with lavish gifts.
He would trick the unsuspecting women into lending him money by pretending he was being targeted by his “enemies”, but he would never repay them.
Daniel, on the other hand, would lie to women that his wife, who brought him to the UK, was cheating on him then he would propose to them and ask for money from them. He would also create non-existent emergencies and trick the women into giving him money. One of his victims had this to say;
“He sweet talks women when proposing to them, promising real love and then swindles them of their money.”
According to H-Metro, he used the money he scammed from these women to develop his projects back home in Zimbabwe and flaunt on social media that he is a hard worker. Last year, in November, he used the money he had scammed to instal solar panels at his house.
