Man Kills Brother Accusing Him Of Selling Him Out To Police

A man from Chikombedzi who felt betrayed by his brother allegedly struck and killed the latter with a machete for selling him out to Police.

The deceased, Enias Muzvimba, 31, died at around 7pm on Wednesday after a brawl with Aram, 25, as they were coming from a traditional beer drink.

Reports say Enias died on the spot.

According to sources, three brothers, Enias, Billiat and Aram Muzvimba were on their way from a traditional beer drink when a misunderstanding ensued between Enias and Aram.

Aram reportedly accused Enias of snitching on him by giving Police information that led to his conviction and a subsequent six months jail term.

Further allegations are that Aram struck Enias thrice – twice on the head and once on the left arm – and the latter dropped to the ground while bleeding profusely.

Billiat fled from the scene after he tried to stop the dispute and was threatened by Aram who ‘appeared possessed.’

Billiat later returned to the scene only to find Enias unconscious and Aram was nowhere to be found. Billiat brought a scotch cart intending to take Enias to the hospital but he was already dead.

The matter was reported at Chikombedzi Police Station.

Masvingo Provincial Police spokesperson Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the case to The Mirror.
