Tracey Holmes Hoyt June 5, 2022 Tracey H. Hoyt, 59, of Delaware, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2022 with family at her side. She was born in Rome, New York on March 3, 1963 to the late Milton E. and Leatrice (Whiting) Smith Jr. Survivors include one son, Robert “Haji” (Hayley Baker) Hoyt; one daughter, Angi Hoyt (Phil Starling): grandchildren, Paisleigh, Liam, Christa, & Selene; one sister, Holly Ford; one brother, Hollister Smith: nephews, Hosea Ford Jr. & Jamaar Ford. Tracey graduated from Paul V. Moore High School in 1981 and went on to become a home health aid. She continued her service to people as a volunteer at S.O.V.A.C. in Central Square, NY with aspirations to become an EMT. She was a server for many years at various restaurants. She then went on to work for and manage the Del Co. Drive Thru up until a few weeks before she passed. She came to be known as a caring server. She was adored by many of her customers and she always made them feel special. She was passionate about animals and worked at a wildlife animal rescue, taking care of every animal like they were her own. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to making her family top priority. A memorial celebration of life will be held at 135 Co. Rte. 32, Hastings, NY 13076 on June 25, 2022 from 2PM-5PM.
