Stunning private island for sale with huge pool and private bridge to mainland

A stunning private island modelled after a luxury Italian villa is on the market for a cool £3.5 million.

The island, part of the Mediterranean-style Oak Island, just 30 minutes from Manhattan in New York is up for sale, and features three-quarters of an acre of land.

The property on the island has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a swimming pool, private beach, boathouse, 24/7 security and a 50-foot long concrete bridge.

The house was built in 1917, but has had extensive work in the 100 plus years that followed, including a two-floor extension which includes a very fancy wine room and terrace.

The wine room is filled with wall-to-wall wine racks, and, for some reason, a mini palm tree in the centre.

The property features a number of attractive amenities

It also features a built-in fireplace which overlooks the nearby river.

The bathroom, which is the size of most two-bedroom terrace homes in the UK, contains more cupboards and floor space than prospective owners could possibly ever need.

And once you’ve finished partying, there’s a swimming pool the size of a football training pitch to cool down in.
