Social Media Users Defend Former Studio 263 Actress Tinopona Katsande After She Is Publicly Mocked For Selling Eggs
A number of social media users came out to defend former Studio 263 actress Tinopona Katsande after she was mocked for selling eggs.
This comes after pictures of the former actress and radio presenter selling eggs went viral on social media.
Some social media users looked down on Tino’s new hustle saying the once-famous actress has fallen from grace to grass.
However, some social media users defended Katsande arguing that there was nothing wrong with selling eggs adding that the Irvines family makes a living from selling eggs.
Deputy Chief Secretary-Presidential Communications in the Office of the President of Zimbabwe, George Charamba also chipped in to support Tino Katsande, requesting her to deliver crates of eggs at his Munhumutapa office.
Responding to those who were criticizing her new hustle Tino wrote;
Here are some of the reactions from Twitter;
I saw the post earlier on and it made me despair of Zimbos. What’s wrong with someone earning a fairly decent living. Far too many Zimbos think it’s all about wearing a suit and tie to work.

Last weekend I was with my Sister Tino at my parents crib for lunch. My mom does Road runners, Broilers and Rabbits. My wife and I do veggies. I’m proud that my sisters chickens are producing eggs and shes selling them. People need to eat. Daily. Nothing to be ashamed about. https://t.co/A6QOgjTeau pic.twitter.com/QbBhT5S6yl

Saw some lazy bums laughing at this hardworking lady. She makes more legitimate money than most beggars in these streets calling themselves influencers. Weldone Tino Katsande. She is wearing one of the most expensive masks to be called broke. Vaccinate to revive arts industry!! pic.twitter.com/Fph8BtKo9m

Even OK sells eggs. We must not be a people that discourages hard working. She is earning her living well. Do we know what one puts in to end up selling eggs. Dont just look at the selling. One does not pick eggs from the streer. Keep on Tino. Zimbabweans buy your eggs from Tino https://t.co/WWydnNAP17

People are clearly missing the point. Selling eggs is not bad, we all sell something. We’re just saying someone with her talents shld be living a lavish lifestyle in a functional society where adult actors are given their rightful dues.
Look at Mia Khalifa

I’m sure there’s nothing to be ashamed of but I think you’ve lost the moral of the story here, Tino is an acclaimed Actor and instead of going up north she’s going South with her acting, make a comparison of her and her fellow actors acros the Limpopo and those in Nollywood
