Sheikh Muhammadu Bashir Soliu, the Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, had a wife, Hajia Hafsat Bashir Imam, who died recently.
Nigeria’s former Senate president and ex-Kwara state governor, Bukola Saraki, announced her death on Friday, May 7, via a condolence message posted on Twitter.
Saraki expressed his condolences to the chief imam, noting that the deceased will be remembered as a God-fearing woman who was a rock for her husband and children.
He begged Allah to grant Haji Hafsat Aljannah Firdaus Firdaus and her bereaved family the strength to bear the loss.
The tweet reads:
“My family and I commiserate with the Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, Sheikh Muhammadu Bashir Soliu, on the demise of his dear wife, Hajia Hafsat Bashir Imam. “We will always remember Hajia Hafsat as a God-fearing woman and a pillar of support to her husband and children. “Hajia Hafsat will be sorely missed for her sacrifice and service to the family and immediate community. “May Allah grant her a place among the righteous ones in Aljannah firdaus and endow her family with the fortitude to bear the loss.”
