Row Over Toilet Turns Nasty As Son Strikes Father With A Hoe
A Warren Park man is lucky to be alive after his son struck him with a hoe over a toilet dispute with tenants during the Easter holiday.
Kean Maridze is alleged to have struck his father only identified as Mr. Maridze with a hoe before he further tried to gouge his father’s eye with a knife after an argument over who should take the next toilet visit.
Narrating his harrowing ordeal at the hands of his son, Maridze said he still can’t believe his son attacked him with a hoe and almost gouged his eye with a knife just because of the misunderstanding they had.
He revealed to a local tabloid that on the day of the incident he had a misunderstanding with his son Kean over the tenant’s toilet use. Maridze said Kean was not happy with the way the tenants were using the toilet arguing that they were leaving the toilet messy and that they were taking a long time in the toilet.
Maridze however, cautioned him and told him not to harass the tenants stating that the food and everything he had was bought by the money they got from those tenants he was confronting.
Infuriated by his father’s response, Kean who was holding a hoe went berserk and attacked his father with the hoe before he took a knife and attempted to gouge his eyes out.
He said because of the injuries he sustained when his son attacked him, he can’t see clearly with his other eye.
After the incident, Kean was queried by an angry mob on why he assaulted his father. Responding, Kean said that he doesn’t know what happened or what he was doing. He said one minute he was just holding a hoe and the next thing he saw himself striking his father with the hoe.
Meanwhile, Maridze rubbished rumors circulating accusing him of using juju on his son. He argued that he could never do that to his son. He revealed that he went from place to place looking for good witch doctors but it seems all in vain. He said he even had traditional beer brewed for him but they just told him something is haunting his son.
