The Spanish giants Real Madrid add to the clubs that sacked the Special One.

Jose Mourinho’s first managerial career in the EPL came in 2004 after he left FC Porto, whom he guided to the UEFA Champions League, to join Chelsea.

Indeed, Mourinho proved to be the Special One when he won two Premier League trophies with the Blues before getting sacked in 2007 due to a poor season start.

Mourinho and his coaching staff were compensated £23.1 million by Chelsea and the club owner Roman Abramovich.

The compensation figures were revealed in Chelsea’s 2015-16 accounts which also stated that the club even paid Adidas £67 million as a compensation package for cancelling a 10-year deal only to sign up with Nike.

In 2015, after returning to the club, Mourinho endured the same fate after getting sacked again.

Mourinho, who was 52 years old by then, pocketed an astounding £8.3m when he was sacked for the second time by Chelsea.

After being sent packing, Mourinho joined Manchester United the following year, succeeding Louis Van Gaal.

Having joined Man united, Mourinho’s tenure was brief as the manager only lasted two years at Old Trafford. During his stint with the Red Devils, Jose Mourinho won the League Cup, Europa League and the Community Shield.

However, Mourinho’s success at Man United couldn’t spare him from getting axed. In 2019, Man United paid a cost of £19.6m to Jose and company after dismissing them from the club.

The other two clubs, Tottenham Hotspurs and Real Madrid, compensated Jose Mourinho a hefty £15 million and £17 million, respectively after dismissing him.
