Plenty of Fish date ‘stabbed during sex in retaliation for US drone strike’

A man’s blind date with a woman he met on dating site Plenty of Fish took a bizarre turn when she took him to a hotel room, stripped naked, said she wanted to blindfold him, and then stabbed him twice in the neck in revenge for the US drone strike on Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps general Qasem Soleimani.

Police have charged 21-year-old Nika Nikoubin with attempted murder in connection with the incident in the Sunset Station Hotel in Las Vegas.

The case is being handled by officers from Henderson Police Department, about 16 miles from central Las Vegas. Their report, released yesterday, states that Nikoubin met the victim on March 5, and they agreed to rent a room together.

The incident occurred in a room in the Sunset Station Hotel

After they entered the room, Nikoubin and her date turned out the lights and they began to have sex

At some point during the proceedings Nikoubin said she wanted to blindfold the man but – police allege – when she reached into her bag she instead produced a knife and stabbed him twice in the neck.

The victim, whose name has not been made public, said he “felt a pain in his neck” and ran from the room, after which he contacted the emergency services.

According to the police report, Nikoubin followed the man out of the room and immediately confessed to a hotel employee that she had just stabbed someone.

When later questioned by police Nikoubin said that she “wanted revenge against US troops for the 2020 killing of Qasem Solemani”.

Homeland Security agents who later spoke to Nikoubin reported: “She advised that there are injustices, in particular the killing of Qasem Soleimani in Iran. Nikoubin stated she wanted revenge.”

It is not currently clear whether the victim had any connection with the January 2020 drone strike which killed five Iraqi nationals and four Iranian nationals as well as the Iranian major General.

US officials initially justified the killing saying it was necessary to stop an “imminent attack”, although the Pentagon late explained that the operation was authorised “in response to an escalating series of attacks…to protect United States personnel, to deter Iran from conducting or supporting further attacks…and to end Iran’s strategic escalation of attacks…”

Nikoubin, 21, is being held on $60,000 bail after she was charged with attempted murder, two counts of battery and burglary of a business, according to jail records.
