The late Nkosivumile Prince Mahlangu was buried in one of a kind extravagant funeral this past weekend after his family set some bizarre rules for mourners.

“Only 2022 model cars allowed in funeral convoy; no designer clothes, no entry,” were some of the few bizarre rules set by the family in preparation for the slain Soshanguve socialite.

Pince Mahlangu was popularly known as “Mongol”, a notorious car-jacking and cash heist kingpin who was a social media sensation for his love for expensive designer clothes and shoes.

He was shot dead on September 3rd in one suspected gang-related incident.

In honour of the extravagant life he lived, his family and friends decided to rock his funeral with luxurious cars, designer clothes and the most expensive alcohol brands.

Family spokesperson: Has issued protocols to be followed for the Saturday funeral of the late Prince Mahlangu. Cars to be allowed 2022 Model Cars…Dress Code Smart Casual (Italian Clothes) Scanners will be available no fake clothes,” read parts of the flier designed as an invitation to his funeral.

It is claimed that his funeral cost more than R300,000 for the coffin and some funeral requirements.

Online, videos have been shared showing a few of Prince’s friends hoping from one designer clothes outlet to the next shopping for clothes for the late’s funeral.

Prince Mahlangu’s criminal claims were exposed online after his death. Unconfirmed reports have linked him to several cash-in-transit heists in and around Pretoria. He is also alleged to have been part of the group that killed one G4S security guard at Mnandi Spar Tulip Road in Centurion a few months ago.

Speaking to the media, his sister dismissed these allegations saying people “can think what they want of him but his death shatters us as a family because we knew him personally”.
