Nancy Josephine Hayes Bush September 15, 2022 Family, a little bit of crazy, a little bit of loud and a whole lot of love. Our beautiful “GG”, Nancy Josephine Hayes Bush, 87, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2022 surrounded by love. Nancy was born to Nick & Nannie Hayes and was the youngest daughter of 10 children. After graduating from Fabius High School she married the love of her life, Ron Bush, on November, 7, 1953. Along with Ron, she is survived by her children Pat (Mike) Shute, Jackie (Rich) Roorda, Sharon (Bob Smith) Bush, Tim (Rosemarie), Janet (Bob) Burton, and Brad (Sandy); Grandchildren Kristin (Jay) Colburn, Matt (Robin) Shute, Jim (MacKenzie) McElhannon, JoAnne Garbutt (Heath), Ryan Roorda, Jesse (Katlynn) McElhannon, Shaun Smith, Aaron Smith, Conrad Bush, Ron (Cassie) Bush, Marty (Macey) Bush, Holden (Corinne) Omans, Victoria Fitzpatrick, Kevin (Hannah) Fitzpatrick, Angela Burton, Andrew (Lindsey) Suppes, Travis (Tiffany) Suppes; Great Grandchildren Ian, Ella, Avery, Ollie, Ellie, Beauden, Raegyn (Isaac) Dow, Griffin, Lily, McKenna, Maverick, Joshua, Emily, Wesley, Harper, Calix, Thomas, Carter, Wayland, Wellington, Rachel, Jasmin, and numerous generations of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, Bernard (Linda) Hayes, sisters in law Audrey Kellogg, Beatrice Salladin, Shirley Hayes, Rennie Abraham and brother in law Bill Griffin. She will be missed by her many “bonus” children, friends and neighbors from LaFayette, Fabius, Cocoa Beach and beyond. Nancy enjoyed spending time with friends and family, hosting numerous parties, weddings, and reunions, crossword puzzles and gardening (although not the planting, weeding and watering parts). Long rides were one of her favorite past-times (especially if they involved a stop at The Nest). Calling hours will be Monday, September 19 at St. Leo’s Church, Tully, NY from 12 to 2pm with a mass to follow at 2pm at the church. Burial LaFayette Cemetery. At the request of Nancy’s family, please come casually dressed to services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central NY & of the Finger Lakes, 990 7th North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088, or to the charity of your choosing.
