In a ‘witch inspired attack’, a mum allegedly disembowelled her baby son and stabbed her daughter dozens of times while “into witchcraft”, US reports say.
Sarah Ganoe, 35, was arrested after 10-month-old Zell Howard was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her daughter, eight, was rushed to hospital with at least 50 stab wounds from a pocket knife, police said.
“She told me she liked to dip into witchcraft a little bit.
“I mean for there to be multiple stab wounds on both kids, it was very heartbreaking. No child deserves anything like that,” he said.
Police said Ganoe texted her fiance John Howard on Monday night “Don’t be sad, but the house will be bloody when you get home.”
They added that upon arriving at the scene, Howard found a large amount of blood in the bedrooms, with the mom lying on the bed alongside her two children.
Ganoe reportedly admitted the stabbings and was arrested at the scene.
She was taken to a local hospital as she had sustained some minor injuries to her arm.
Police said they had previously been called to the residence regarding domestic disputes involving Ganoe and her fiancé.
According to police the baby boy, who had multiple stab wounds and was slashed in the abdomen, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The girl had reportedly suffered injuries including at least 50 stab wounds and was transferred to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk.
Ganoe has been charged with second-degree murder, aggravated child abuse and neglect, and aggravated malicious wounding.
She is currently being held without bond at the Newport News City Jail and has not entered a plea.
She is set to appear in court on May 20.
On Thursday the Daily Star reported a possessed woman who says her mother came out in boils and suffered pains when she prayed had multiple terrifying exorcisms to remove the “demons”.
Shrieks and hissing sounds took place during a horrific exorcism in a Margate hotel room where unexplained voices shouted back “you’ll never get me out of here”.
Pastor Vincent, an exorcist based in the town in Kent, said that the woman and her mum had both been suffering from “counter-attacking” evil spirits that came out when she prayed.
“Sunita”, who chose not to give her real name, said that when she prayed her mum came out in boils, suffered pains and had burn marks emerge on her clothing.
