After being found pasting posters with the inscription “Buhari Must Go” on the streets of Kogi State, Nigerian youths were forced to eat papers. Members of the #RevolutionNow campaign, led by former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore, said the young men, two in number, in a viral video.
An enraged crowd apprehended them and pushed the posters into their mouths. The crowd scolded the two young men for supposedly falling for Sowore’s deception. Sowore, a Nigerian activist and publisher of SaharaReporters, has been a vocal supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari’s resignation.
He’s been holding rallies under the RevolutionNow banner, calling for Buhari’s resignation. As a result of his call for revolution in the region, President Buhari’s government has arrested and detained Sowore on numerous occasions.
