The kidnappers of Muhammed Sanni Idris, the Niger State Commissioner for Information, have demanded a ransom of N500 million to ensure his release.

It was learnt that security meetings have been ongoing in connection with the abduction. One of such meetings was presided over by the Deputy Governor of the state, Ahmed Ketso.
