Abia Warriors head coach Imama Amapakabo is thrilled with Adekunle Adeleke’s invitation for Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Benin Lesotho, reports Completesports.com.

The ball playing centre -back, who has been a very consistent figure for the Umuahia club this season was named as replacement for Kenneth Omeruo on Saturday.

Omeruo was stopped by his Spanish club Leganes due to travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s a big booster, personally am happy when as a team a player gets a call-up to the national team,” Imama told the club website.

“It’s a reward for hardwork, whatever you are doing, give it all your best because someone somewhere is watching and taking note it.”
