Every organ in the body is important but the Liver is a very important one because it helps to remove toxins from the body. It is about the size of a football and it is located just under your ribcage at the right side of your abdomen.
Liver diseases can be caused by obesity, viruses and excessive use of alcohol, hard drugs. The most scary part is that liver diseases can actually be inherited.
So, if you start seeing these symptoms, it means you should see your doctor because there is a possibility that you are having a deteriorating liver:
1. Abdominal pain and swelling.
2. Jaundice: Skin and eyes become yellowish.
3. Itchy skin.
4. Swelling in the ankles and legs.
5. Pale stool colour.
6. Dark urine colour.
7. Loss of appetite.
8. Chronic fatigue.
9. Nausea or vomitting.
10. Tendency to bruise easily.
The reason for seeing your doctor is that early treatment of a liver disease gives the liver time to heal or else, liver diseases are life-threatening conditions.
