A Sunday school science teacher has been given a prison term for sexually abusing a teen girl from her church.
Self-teach teacher , Alisa Andrews, concede to rape charges in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The 52-year-old taught a biology class at Rogers Christian Church to a small group of teens.
The relationship began after Andrews stopped teaching the girl and the sexual assaults lasted nine months, police said.
Detectives were tipped off by the church’s pastor after a parent alerted him to the abuse.

According to the victim impact statement read out by deputy prosecutor Sarah Rhinehart, the victim was suicidal and in therapy.
“I know now that none of this is my fault, and I want you to know that you have no power over me any more,” the victim wrote.
“I’m no longer the broken girl I was.
“You don’t know anything about the person I am today, and you never will. I hope you know I don’t forgive you, and I hope I never do.”
She was also ordered to register as as sex offender.
