“I Didn’t Bring Coronavirus To Togo” – Emmanuel Adebayor Refuses To Donate


Bilbays Former Premier League player and  Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor, has revealed that he is donating to his homeland to combat the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Adebayor said in a video published by himself: “For those who say that I do not donate, let me be very clear, I really do not donate. This is very simple.”

The former Arsenal and Manchester City striker continued his controversial remarks: “I do what I want to do, eat the food I want, and this is the most important. Then, there will be those who criticize me for not having established a charity in Togo.”

“But it seems that I brought the Corona virus to Togo, it is very unfortunate, but this is the case and what happened in the country,” he added.

“You can compare me to Didier Drogba, you can compare me to Samuel Eto’o, but unfortunately I am not Drogba and not Eto’o, I am Emmanuel Adebayor and I will always do what I want to do.”

Togo recorded 86 cases of coronavirus, according to official statistics, and 6 deaths.
