‘Goodbye Poverty, Hello Investment’ – The Queen Actor Vusi Thanda Overjoyed After He Receives R30k Donation

Renowned South African actor Vusi Thanda is over the moon after receiving R30 000 donation money.

The former The Queen actor was blessed with R30k by Kicks Sportwear.

Kicks Sportwear recently donated R30 000 to former The Queen actor Vusi Thanda after he pleaded for financial assistance on social media in September.

Speaking after receiving the donation, Vusi Thanda thanked Kicks Sportswear for coming through for him. The ecstatic actor officially bid farewell to poverty.

He said that he is not going to use any money he received instead he is going to invest all the money that he got.

“I am officially saying goodbye to poverty. I don’t want to touch a cent of this money but instead, I want to invest it, because that is a mistake I made in the past.”

“I have learned my lesson and never want to misuse money again. Thank you to the Kicks team for standing by me through this very difficult time. May God bless all of you.”  he stated.

 

 

South Africans on social media were deeply moved in September by a heartrending video of veteran actor Vusi Thanda, who brandished his card, begging people to help him.

Nozuko MaRhadebe Habe shared a Facebook post about Vusi Thanda, asking people to lend as little as R10 for The Queen actor.

She wrote;

“Life is not easy for him. At times you need to go to the clinic for treatment. I will ask him to make a video with his account number to avoid a scam.”

The actor’s financial troubles arose from the lack of acting roles. He appeared on The Queen in 2020 and last performed in 2021 in a Moja Love production, Ikhaya Labadala.

Vusi Thanda then read his banking details in another video, asking for help. South Africans were heartbroken to see one of Mzansi’s legendary actors “begging” for money.

The videos elicited an outpouring of sympathy from well-wishers who donated to the actor.
