Award-winning South African fashion designer Gert-Johan Coetzee is allegedly headed for a divorce. The designer for the stars and his brand manager husband Vicky Visagie are no longer living together.
Sources close to the couple have stated that Visagie moved out of their Linden home four months ago as the pair have fallen out of love.
The source also alleges that their relationship was getting toxic and decided to call it quits as they realised that their relationship had run its course.
Visagie is also Coetzee’s brand manager for his fashion label and his business partner as well.
Though the internationally acclaimed fashion designer refused to comment about the status of his marriage, his estranged husband confirmed they are no longer living together.
“Yes, I have moved out of our house about four months ago. But the reason for moving out is because I am a spiritual healer and needed calmer energy so I can be able to do my work and heal people, while Gert is busy with his business.”
Coetzee and his estranged husband Vicky Visagie dated for nine years before getting engaged for years.
The pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in front of friends and family at a nature reserve near Wolmaransstad in April 2014.
Their glamorous wedding was attended by A-listers and televised on SABC 3’s long-running television show Top Billing. The guest list included media personalities such as Coetzee’s celeb and bestie Bonang Matheba, Top Billing’s executive producer Basetsana Kumalo, her husband Romeo Kumalo, singers such as Lira, Tamara Dey etc.
Gert-Johan has dressed an array of international celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Cardi B. He’s also dressed South African stars such as Real Housewives of Durban reality star, Ayanda Ncwane, entrepreneur Bonang Matheba, radio personality Lerato Kganaygo, singer Louise Carver etc.
