
#EastLondonDeath| Disturbing Pictures Of 22 South Africans Teenagers Who Died Under Mysterious Circumstances While Grooving At A Nightclub Emerge
In a rather tragic development, 22 young South Africans died while grooving at a makeshift nightclub in a township in South Africa’s southern city of East London.
The 22 teenagers who were allegedly celebrating finishing writing their exams are said to have died under mysterious circumstances.
Provincial police spokesman brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana has since confirmed the disturbing news. He said that the police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Brigadier Kinana said the victims at Enyobeni Tavern were aged between 18 and 20 years.
Meanwhile, disturbing images of the dead bodies lying strewn across tables, chairs and on the floor at the tavern has since gone viral on social media.
Bodies lying as if they collapsed to the floor suddenly while dancing or in the middle of a conversation. Other bodies are slumped across chairs and lying over tables. #EastLondonDeath

The pictures which have been shared on social media show bodies with no visible signs of wounds.
The provincial community and safety department official Unathi Binqose has since ruled out a stampede as the cause of death.
“It’s difficult to believe it’s a stampede as there are no visible open wounds to those dead,”he said.
Video footage of the tavern hours before the tragic incident happened has also surfaced on social media.

The president of South Africa has since sent his condolence message to the bereaved families. Posting on Twitter, he wrote;
My deepest condolences go to the families of the 22 teenagers who lost their lives at a tavern in Scenery Park, East London, in the early hours of this morning.
This tragedy is made even more grave by its occurrence during Youth Month – a time during which we celebrate young people, advocate and advance opportunities for improved socio-economic conditions for the youth of our nation.
