DRAMA QUEEN| Three Things That Betrayed Cristiano Ronaldo’s Frustration Before He Stormed Down The Tunnel

Manchester United’s 2-0 victory against Tottenham on Wednesday was overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo, who was captured leaving the pitch before the final whistle.

Since the commencement of the 2022-23 season, Ronaldo has only made two premier league starts. In most games, he is confined to the bench, which might be why Ronaldo is exhibiting ‘rogue’ and unprofessional behaviour.

Before Ronaldo trudged down the tunnel, here are three things caught on camera that betrayed his frustrations.

The former Real Madrid striker was spotted on the bench wearing a dangle earring, which led fans to criticise  him for the lack of professionalism.  Criticizing Ronaldo for that, one fan wrote on Twitter saying:

“Why should Manchester United allow Ronaldo to sit on the bench wearing an earring? Completely unprofessional IMO!!!!”

Wearing of all items of jewellery (necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings) is prohibited during matches. On Wednesday, fans felt that miserable-looking  Ronaldo ‘disrespected’ Ten Hag and the club for sitting on the bench with a dangle earring.

Some also believed that Ronaldo’s action was nothing but a display of his frustration with Erik Ten Hag.

Apart from that, Ronaldo was also spotted seemingly frustrated and isolated as Erik Ten Hag substituted Jadon Sancho, replacing him with Anthony Elanga.

In another case, the former Juventus forward was also spotted looking frustrated and unhappy as the first team marched to the pitch.

The sad look on his face betrayed how deep he is unhappy with the current situation at Old Trafford.

However, when Erik Ten Hag was asked if he sanctioned Ronaldo in the dressing room, he said:

“He was there, I have seen him, but I didn’t speak with him.”

“I don’t pay attention to that, I will deal with that tomorrow. I want to keep the focus on the team,” said the coach speaking at the post-match interview.
