EFCC have captured man for reportedly hacking more than 1000 clients’ bank details and BVN in Lagos
The Lagos zonal Office of the EFCC has nabbed one Ihebuzo Chris for alleged cyber stalking.
Chris, a suspected serial cyber crook, was captured in Benin City, Edo State, following a request got by the Commission from another age bank.
The petitioner asserted that the suspect had, in an online video, professed to be in control of some close to personal information and Biometric Verification Numbers of more than 1000 clients of the bank, which he professed to have obtained after hacking into its data base from his personal laptop computer.
Items recovered from the suspect, at the point of arrest, include the laptop computer, which he used to upload the said viral video, a printout of over 2000 bank details, including the BVN of customers of the bank, 12 blank ATM cards suspected to be for perpetration of his alleged criminal activity.
Examinations are progressing to disentangle different guilty parties associated with the wrongdoing. He would be charged to court when examinations are finished up.
