Curfew Lifted As Gvt Relaxes Covid: 19 Lockdown Regulations 

The Ministry of Information has announced that curfew has been lifted as the Covid-19 induced lockdown is being relaxed.

Speaking during a post-Cabinet media briefing on Tuesday, Minister of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Jenfan Muswere said business hours for hospitality industry is now from 0800 to 0300 hrs the following day. 

“Curfew has been lifted. All Covid19 public health and social measures must continue to be strengthened” 

The curfew was introduced at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic as a precautionary measure to control the spread of the virus.

In other news, iHarare reported that bread prices are expected to be reviewed downwards, the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ)Dr John Mangudya revealed.

Consumers have witnessed the prices of bread going up as bakers cited an increase in the prices of imported wheat.

A survey done by iHarare revealed that some shops have been selling a loaf of bread at US$1.50.

IHarare had also reported that  three Zimbabwean men were killed and burnt to ashes in South Africa recently.

The bodies of three Zimbabweans and one South African were burnt by a vigilante group in South Africa’s Limpopo Province.

According to The Herald, the four men were murdered after they were accused of murder and robbing a tuckshop in Limpopo province by community members.

The now deceased are said to have gunned down a man identified as Asanap Aneso(25) before robbing him of an undisclosed amount of money.

South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in Limpopo, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed the incident which happened at Majeje Village.

The now deceased victims have since been identified as Themba Makhubele (34) a South African and three Zimbabweans, Arthur Moyo (19), Sipho Sibanda (20), and Sadam Ncube (27).

Four people have since been arrested in connection with the murder.
