Brighton Hove In Pursuit Of Former Orlando Pirates Star

Zimbabwe Warriors star Marshall Munetsi

Former Orlando Pirates ace Marshall Munetsi will possibly be rubbing shoulders with fellow Zimbabwean national teammates, Marvelous Nakamba [Aston Villa] and Jordan Zemura [Bournemouth] next season.

This comes after the English Premier League side Brighton Hove was reported to be interested in signing the Zim Warriors star from Reims.

According to reports, Brighton Hove scouts and analysts were charmed by Munetsi’s impressive statistics in the middle of the park and this has prompted the club to sign him this summer.

Statistically, Munetsi is considered the best ahead of Aurelien Tchouameni who joined Real Madrid from Monaco earlier this month and Boubacar Kamara who left Marseille for Aston Villa.

Coming back from an injury, the 26-year-old Munetsi netted four goals from 22 appearances.

Munetsi is deemed a perfect replacement for Yves Bissouma who crossed to Tottenham last week.

The 25-year-old Bissouma joined Antonio Conte’s side on a four-year contract after a record fee of £25 million plus add-ons was agreed on.

Brighton Hove is expected to sign Munetsi this summer for £7 million but as of now nothing solid has been said concerning the deal.
