Ms Patience Komone, a 50-year-old woman who had been reported missing by her family, was discovered dead in a bush in the Umeh town in Delta State’s Isoko South Local Government Area.
The middle-aged woman’s rotting body was discovered on Tuesday.
Onoriode Simon Akpoavirhi, a 17-year-old teenager, was responsible for the death of the deceased.
It was gathered that Umeh community youths irked by the incident immediately dispatched some youths in the community to investigate the incident and one Onoriode Simon Akpoavirhi was discovered to have been the last person seen with the deceased.

It was further learnt that the suspect confessed that he stole the deceased’s money after killing her to buy some musical instrument.

The Delta Police spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the discovery of the decomposing body of the lady but could not give details.
He added that a suspect had been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of the woman.
