The Double Launch weekend started with a big bang! Millions of viewers have been anticipating meeting the new BBNaija Housemates, and 12 of them have been unveiled.
Different people, different personalities, but the same mission; be the last man or woman standing.
Housemates made their way into the House one by one, entering what will become their new home. Some Housemates received warmer welcomes than others.
Live Show 1 – 23 Jul: Meet the Level Up Housemates – BBNaija
They are entering the House as strangers but are using any opportunity they can to get to know each other. The first Housemate to join, Groovy, led the introductions with a description of who he is and what his likes and dislikes are. He was followed by the other Housemates; Phyna, Amaka, Kess, Bryann, Ilebaye, Khalid, Daniella, Cyph, Beauty, Pharmsavi and Christy O.

ore information about themselves.
Wigs and shirts came off, and the conversation never ceased as Housemates got ready for bed. The excitement to be in Biggie’s House was clear; there was no sleep in sight.
Cyph shared that auditioning for Big Brother Naija was the ultimate act of “shooting your shot.” Housemates reflected on how proud they are to have made it into the House.
Some single Housemates are ready to mingle and a married Kess prefers to not be viewed as a married man. “I am a big fan of the show and I am here to have fun,” he says. He is in the House for the drama and the fights that would ensue but is looking forward to getting back to his American wife and his great life.
A male vs female intelligence argument between the Housemates ensued in the dining area. This was one of the many conversations the Housemates had as they settled into Biggie’s House.

Big Brother Naija, Africa’s most popular reality show, has returned.
The show returned for its seventh season with a double launch show on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24, July 2022.
Some of the beautiful housemates were introduced by the host of the show, Ebuka Uchendu.
In the Big Brother Naija house, people with different relationship statuses come to compete for the prize money.
The contestants may be married, single, divorced or in a relationship. Some married people like Mike and Niyi stood their ground and remained faithful while in the house.
Just as we had Tega Dominic in the last season also, we have Kess in the Level Up season 7 this time.
He is 28-year-old married man from Delta state and he said his wife gave him a hall pass and he’s leaving everything behind.
Following the trends in the past editions, fans are already advising the housemate Kess to get ready to leave the house if he attempts to play dirty games while in the house.

Fans are giddy with excitement as the most-anticipated season 7 of the Big Brother Naija reality TV show, tagged ‘Level Up’ officially takes off.
During the live launch show on Saturday, the first set of housemates were introduced to the show.
Six male and six female contestants made their way to the house, marking the start of a new journey to fame for them.
Henry Olisa, popularly known as Groovy, is from Anambra State.
Beauty Tukura hails from Taraba State and is the 2021 Miss Nigeria.
Khalid Ismail is 22 years old. According to him, he’s single and not searching.
Ilebaye hails from Kogi State and has stated that fans should not expect her to be in any relationship on the show.
Bright Erekete, also known as Cyph, is a tech bro who doesn’t believe in love at first sight.
She calls herself Nigerian Nicki Minaj. Amaka adds that she’s perfectly single, “single to the last letter of the word”.
He’s a 28-year-old married man who said his wife approves of him having fun.
Daniella Peters is a 22-year-old poet from Cross River State.
Saviour Akpan is from Akwa Ibom State. PharmSavi said he’s super confident and a gentleman with an amazing sense of humour. He doesn’t believe in love at first. He describes himself as a pharmacist and a low-key entertainer.
Phyna is short for Josephina. She’s from Edo State.
Brian, a budding music producer, is from Imo State.
Christy is from Ondo State.
The premiere night also featured electrifying performances from Asake and Victony, who thrilled the live audience and fans.
This year’s winner will be walking home with a N100m grand prize— a cash prize of N50m and N50m worth of prizes from the sponsors. In addition, 30 fans of the show will win N1m each in the ‘Fave Lock-In’ promo exclusive to DStv and GOtv customers.
The show will retain its voting style from last year, as it (voting) will only be on the Big Brother Naija website, mobile site, and the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps for active customers.
