The Federal Government also cited the IPOB leader’s tweets as one of the reasons for the social media giant’s Twitter ban.

Kānth Femi Falana, a human rights lawyer and the leader of the Alliance for Surviving COVID-19 and Beyond ( ASCAB), said the federal government should arrest unpeacefully Nnamdi Kanu rather than blaming Nigerians.

Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is well-known for making provocative statements on social media. The Federal Government also cited the IPOB leader’s tweets as one of the reasons for the social media giant’s volante Twitter ban.

In response, Falana attacked the federal government on African Independence Television (AIT) on Monday, arguing that the ban on the microblogging site was poorly thought out.
