Examples of brain injuries are hematomas, blood clots, contusions, or bruising of brain tissue, cerebral edema, or swelling inside the skull, concussions, strokes, etc.

There are lifestyle and diet that can cause damage to the brain, also there certain healthy foods can help in promoting the functions of the brain. There is a need for you to eat these foods too often, examples of such foods are;

1. Leafy green vegetables

Vegetables are essential to all organs of the body, especially the brain. Vegetables have enough minerals and vitamins. These vitamins and minerals are very important in managing stress which aids the central nervous system to perform properly and keep our brains and memories sharp. Examples of good vegetables are cucumber, spinach, onions, carrots, pumpkin (Ugu), green leaves, tomatoes, garlic, etc. You should make sure you add them to your daily meal.

Omega-3 fats are very important to our general health including the heart, brain, joint, etc. Fish is one of the foods that are very rich in this oil. The main sources of oily fish include salmon, trout, mackerel, herring, sardines, pilchards, and kippers. Also, there are natural plants that contain essential fatty acids. Examples of them are flaxseed, soya beans, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, and their oils.

You should eat these foods regularly and avoid foods and lifestyles that are dangerous to the brain and our general well-being. Be warned!
